It was my first cardigan ever and I feel lucky that I chose Heidi’s Snowbird: very well writen pattern, clear instructions, great results. Without any significant mods I got perfect fit for my size and height. Great boost for my confidence as a knitter!

About yarn. I didn’t like it much during knitting: uneven stitches, even small holes in some places because of irregularly sized white nubs.
Honestly, normal stockinette looked awful prior blocking so it’s a blessing that Snowbird is knitted mainly in reverse stockinette.
And yes - it gives bias (slight in my case but bias anyway).
But at the end my persistance was rewarded. Washing and careful blocking changes a lot. First of all it brings out alpaca halo and fabric becomes very soft and flowy.

I like my new cardigan a lot, it’s pretty warm and cuddly.
