I’ve never constructed anything in diagonal blocks before! This was a lot of fun! :):)

I ran out of the nice dark merino (which was a leftover from the diagonal hat).

I chucked in a couple of leftover lighter merino, from the same hat, and I was left grounded. Good old faithful acrylic DK came to the rescue.

I skipped a lot of rows (I stopped as soon as the longer side of the rectangle fit snugly around my head).

I like the result! It’s quite… sporty! I do not fancy doing the brim in the lighter acrylic, and I’ve run out of everything else, so I think I’ll just leave it brimless…

The merino is quite elastic, hopefully it will keep bouncing back. :)

ps I was not patient enough to block it, but it seems nice anyway :)

Very pleased with this! And it only took a couple of evenings :)
