Not much knitting today because we went to the fair. It was an absolutely stunningly beautiful day and evening out so we stayed later than we normally would have and took the long way home… via a creepy looking gravel road we stumbled upon. sweat_smile The socks will get done soon enough, my handspun will dry someday, and all too soon Summer will be gone so we’ve got to make the most of it while we can, right?

I don’t know that I’ve mentioned just how much I love the greens in this mini skein set from @alainnyarns , they’re just so beautiful. star-struck green_heart. We had a bit of a relaxed afternoon yesterday with some stitching, some tv, a short drive, and a visit to the park in the evening. It was a really lovely way to wind down after the excitement (and anxiety sweat_smile) of a pattern release in the morning.

yarn I’ve been trying to look at the cleanup as my last step in a project so that I have everything ready to go for when I want to cast on with the leftovers or add them into a project. It might seem like a lot of extra effort, but feeling like i’m cracking into a new skein of yarn each time I use some from stash is really fun! joy Here’s how I clean up my projects.
