NOTES |FRANÇAIS| :

→ Le tawashi vert est fait en fil doublé en prenant deux brins d’un fil acrylique vert possédant un fin brin de nylon vert brillant.

→ Le tawashi gris est fait en fil doublé avec un brin de Katio Duo Cotton col. 52 gris et un brin de Primavera, un coton mercerisé gris clair. Comme je n’avais plus assez de fil pour terminer, j’ai utilisé quelques mètres de Drops Paris col. 23 gris clair non doublé.

→ J’ai fait un tawashi en coton et un en acrylique pour voir laquelle de ces deux matières fonctionne le mieux (selon le type de vaisselle, le degré de saleté…) étant donné que les deux semblent être autant choisies l’une que l’autre.

→ Grâce à la vidéo de Donna, les explications pour coudre le rectangle en tawashi sont bien plus claires !

→ Un tawashi mesure entre 7cm et 7,5cm de diamètre.

→ Notes Février 2021 : J’ai crocheté une troisième éponge avec le même fil acrylique vert pour le chéri quand il bricole. Cette fois, j’ai triplé le fil et utilisé un crochet 8mm afin que l’éponge soit plus grande (11cm de diamètre).

→ Notes 16 Septembre 2021 : J’ai crocheté un nouveau tawashi vert de 7,5cm de diamètre. Après utilisation, l’éponge en acrylique est plus efficace que celle en coton car elle est plus souple (donc accède plus facilement dans les creux) et le produit vaisselle mousse davantage. De plus, les petits fils brillants nettoient mieux que le coton qui se rigidifie beaucoup trop une fois mouillé.

→ The green tawashi is made with two strands of green acrylic with a thin strand of bright green nylon.

→ The grey tawashi is made in in doubled thread with one strand of Katia Duo Cotton col. 52 grey and one strand of Primavera, a light grey mercerized cotton. As I didn’t have enough yarn to finish, I used a few meters of Drops Paris col. 23 light grey not doubled.

→ I made one tawashi in cotton and one in acrylic to see which material works best (depending on the type of dishes, the degree of dirtiness…) as both seem to be as chosen as the other.

→ Thanks to Donna’s video, the instructions for sewing the rectangle in tawashi shape are much clearer !

→ A tawashi measures between 7cm (2.8”) and 7,5cm (3”) in diameter.

→ February 2021 notes : I crocheted a third sponge with the same green acrylic yarn for the honey when he’s crafting. This time, I tripled the yarn and used an 8mm crochet hook so the sponge would be larger (11cm diameter).

→ Septembre 16, 2021 notes : I crocheted a new green tawashi of 7,5cm (3”) diameter. After use, the acrylic sponge is more efficient than the cotton one because it is more flexible (so it goes more easily in the corners) and the dishwashing liquid foams more. Moreover, the small shiny strands clean better than the cotton one which gets too stiff when wet.
