I’d been eyeing this project for years. Finally had a reason to make it for my niece’s wedding gift!

I enjoy modular squares so I enjoyed knitting this. I must warn people that this project is simple to construct, but very time consuming. After I had started I saw that most other people that made this used heavier yarns than the pattern called for, that probably could speed up the process. I’m glad I used the fingering yarn, I really like the scale of the design and the blanket is very light in drape.

This was also a great way to use up some of my sock yarn stash. Since it is a quilt design, it makes perfect design sense to make it a scrap quilt. And modular squares are great for using variegated yarns!
