Knit in stockinette stitch rather than garter. 120 cast on for back. Twisted k1,p1 rib for three inches, then switched to short row pattern. Used German short rows, moved the turns to be central in the fabric. Worked waist shaping (7 sts decreased every 6th row on both sides, worked even for about 1.25 of the colour pattern, then worked 7 increases). Worked even for about 2 inches. Cast on 8 stitches on both sides for sleeves. Finished current set of short row pattern and finished one more set on top of that. Held stitches on a holder until I finished the front.

120 cast on for front. Worked as for back.

Seamed along under sleeves and sides.

Picked up stitches at sleeves and worked cuff in 1x1 twisted rib for roughly 1 inch.

Joined yarn for front yoke. Knitted 1x1 twisted rib stitch with natural coloured yarn straight up yoke was until deep enough to reach top of each shoulder. Did the same for back. Performed three-needle bind off for one shoulder, continued along to bind off for front neckline, then fastened off. Performed three-needle bind off for other shoulder and then bound off back neckline as for front. Used fastened off tails to tidy up neckline.
