Every fall I lament my lack of fingerless mitts so I finally decided to do something about it. I’ve been a fan of this pattern since Audry released it, and since I had some Acadia in my stash, it seemed like a perfect match.

Mods (to add extra length):

• 2 inches of twisted rib for the cuff, plus one row of rib on larger needle.
• Knit first row of the chart three times before moving on to row 2.
• Added extra increase row to the thumb gusset (17 stitches between markers). Knit in pattern through row 29, then separate for thumb (15 stitches for thumb, with 2 extra for palm).
• Finish chart, then knit rows 11 through 17 again. Repeat row 17 three times.
• Twisted rib for 1.5 inches. Used larger needle for bind-off.

Thumb:

• Worked over 18 stitches (pick up 5 sts, on first round, k2tog at corners).
• 4 rows stockinette.
• 10 rows twisted rib.

I am so happy with these! The fit is perfect, the yarn is gorgeous and cozy, and they were much quicker to knit than my timeline indicates.
