the local charity Caps for Kids requires not using buttons so I knit two flat circles for the eyes (started with 16 sts, dec every row, worked down to 8 sts), and a puffy circle for the beak (started with 13 sts, decreases every other row down to 4 sts). Love working with the O-Wool yarn and love the pattern but it took me several days and its probably not something a boy would wear so plan to make more of the Chouette hats instead.
