I had a not too terribly great opinion of most fair-isle projects before I started this hat, and at first wasn’t all that impressed with the result. The name then comes from the Sam Amidon album “But This Chicken Proved Falsehearted”.

Since then, my opinion has changed about this hat and I am pretty darn pleased with it.
