When my grandmother passed away, she was in the middle of knitting an afghan. It somehow wound up in the possession of my mother, who is a crocheter, not a knitter. She asked my sister and I to finish it.

After a _lot_ of internet sleuthing, I managed to get my hands on not only the original pattern, but the physical publication—a pamphlet published by Brunswick in 1980. I also have the far more priceless hand-written version from when my grandmother presumably hand-copied it from the library.

Her portion was knitted with yarn that no longer has the ball band. I’m assuming it’s an aran acrylic? It will be an adventure to find the right yarn to continue this project with.
