I didn’t compare the pattern photo on Etsy with the directions until I was well into the project. The bag turned out smaller than I originally expected. To make it larger, a second cylinder of raffia would be needed.

I crocheted the border much too tight and decided to stop with a thinner border and handles.

Wool and the Gang Raffia is easy to work with. I have sweaty hands, and the raffia held up fine.

I steamed the straps after taking this picture, and they are smoother now.
