Mistakes were made, it’s bigger than I thought it’d be, but I didn’t frog…I’m not entering it in the fair

Stuart, my daughter’s cat, loves the Sunny Blanket I made with this yarn…I had leftover and my new friend Michelle shared this pattern with me!

For the cushion, I did not have enough yarn of the regular Encore to use two strands. I dropped down to an I/5.5mm hook. I crocheted 38 across. Every 17.5 inches, I did 10 rows of a crunch stitch (hdc, sl st) up to a 20 inches.

But that pattern fell apart at the end when I needed to use some chunky yarn. Turned out my base was not a good circle because I messed up the counting of the rows.

Frogged and redid attaching the base to the pillow - it’s done! And Stuart likes it!
