04/08/10 — Finished. I’m not thrilled about the rapid decreases (k2tog for 5 rnds) but, overall, I like the hat. Now let’s hope the recipient does, too.

04/06/10 — I didn’t want to fiddle with DPNs so I just CO 110 stitches and worked in 1×1 rib for 1.25” on size US 4 needles, then switched to the larger needles (US 8) to work the rest of the hat.
