Notes

7/4/15 Done! Ends all woven in.

7/3/15 I finished all but thumb #2 and weaving in ends/prettying up thumb gussets. I realized while doing thumb #1 that I haven’t done a thumb gusset in a LOOOOONG time and I kinda forgot a lot of it. What did we ever do without youtube tutorials? Anyway, the whole pattern used less than one skein. I will weigh it later and figure out a more exact total. I like how the yarn ended up a little stripey on these.

I made only one change to the pattern. I wanted it to match the Capucine hat to some degree, so I did the cuffs in 2x2 rib. I did the last row before the thumb increase in stockinette. If I made this pattern again, I would probably make the mitt part a good inch+ shorter. The wifey said they would work, she’d just roll the mitt part back like a cuff. It actually looks pretty cute that way.

The colors in the photo of the knitted mitt are off. The photo of the skeins is much more accurate.

7/2/15 Just cast on. I’m hoping these will work well with the Capucine I have in progress.
