12/3/16 Done and delivered! The color is tricky to photograph accurately. It’s sort of a cornflower blue--subtle but not washed out. The beads are more visible than they seem in the photos. It’s got lovely texture. Both Churchmouse patterns I’ve made so far have been incredibly simple in the best possible way. They allow the yarn to shine, have just the right amount of texture, and the finishing details make everything come together.

12/1/16 It’s blocking. It grew a LOT. I pinned it out loosely and it’s looking like it will be around 92” x 12” instead of 76” x 10”! The stitches didn’t even out with blocking as much as I’d hoped, but I think it still looks nice. When it dries it will have a lovely light drape, I think.

11/26/16 Finally wove in the ends on this. As soon as the purple poncho is done blocking, I’ll get this one going and it’ll be done!

9/30/16 Bound off. The skein originally weighed 51 gm. At the halfway point, I had 27 gm left. So, I didn’t add any repeats as I didn’t want to run out of yarn. As it turned out, I could have--I was left with 4 gm and have plenty of beads.

9/18/16 Using a size 13 steel crochet hook, as called for in the pattern. Never thought I’d find a use for it! 22 beads in so far, so nearly 40 to go before decreasing.
