cotton yarn helps keeping the tension really high because its so grippy. this helped me create a solid, opaque fabric that nobody will see my underwear through.

adjustments i made:
because my gauge is so tight i repeated the cable pattern every five rows instead of four (or, whenever i felt like i did enough non-cable rows).

i did the initial short rows to raise the back and felt like it fit me perfectly already, so i was confused why there are even more short rows to come! i did like a third of those before deciding that thats enough and that more of them would completely throw it off balance.

instead of sewing elastics into the waistband i added holes for draw strings and made it long enough to fold and sew it down. in the end i knit like 45 rows of waistband, with the holes being 3 stitches wide on row 11. during the waistband my yarn ran out so i used the yarn i’d be using as contrast colour anyways. this way you can see the yellow through the draw string holes, which is fun!

the leg hemming isnt in garter stitch because i hate the look of it. instead i used a moss stitch. the bind off is very loose and kind of flaring which could have been executed better but works overall. i hope i can block/iron some of the kinks out in the end.

overall a really nice project!
