Gauge:

• 13 sts x 20 rows = 4” in double seed stitch
• 23-stitch cable panel = 5” wide

My gauge was larger than the pattern’s.

I made this pillow 22” wide to fit a 24” wide pillow form instead of 21” wide to fit a 22” wide pillow form.

I cast on 85 sts instead of 79 sts. I worked the double seed stitch panels over 13 sts instead of 11 sts.

For the backs I picked up the sts along the sides of the front edges instead of knitting them separately.

The pattern says to pick up 39 sts for the back pieces which is 11” wide. I picked up 39 sts for an 11.5” width because I already had an extra inch of negative ease width wise.

I omitted the buttons and button bands and instead overlapped the back pieces.

I knit the top back piece 18” long (87 rows). I knit the bottom back piece 7” long (35 rows) so the backs would overlap 3”. Another 0.5” of overlap would have probably been a good idea.

I crochet slip stitched the seams from the WS.

I used a 12” x 24” pillow form from Amazon.

-Front: 149g (228 yds)

-Seaming: 6g (9 yds)

• Front: 22” wide x 12” long
• Back: 22” wide x 11.5” long
• Top Back Piece: 11.5” wide x 18” long
