If I were more careful about extra long yarn ends I could have finished this cardigan with 5 balls of yarn.
I knit size 32” instead of 36.5” because I thought the stitch pattern would look better with negative ease instead of positive ease.
My row gauge was larger than the pattern’s. I changed the sleeve cap shaping and I worked 12 rows of rib for the body and sleeves instead of 14 rows.
I used SSK instead of SKP and k2togtbl.
I knit this cardigan 16” long instead of 17.75” long. I knit the body 7.5” long instead of 9” long.
I made the front neck depth 8.5” long instead of 10.25” long. I started the front neck shaping at the same time as the armhole shaping instead of 24 rows earlier. I used the 6 row neck shaping repeat from Bookish Cardi x3 then decreased every 4th row.
I made six buttonholes instead of three. I used YO buttonholes instead of BO buttonholes. RS: rib 4, p2tog, YO, rib 4. WS: rib 4, YO, k2tog, rib 4.
I used a three needle BO to seam the neck band.
I used six 1/2” buttons from Amazon.
