Gauge:
- Back and Hood: 15 sts x 22 rows = 4” in stockinette
- Fronts and Sleeves: 16 sts x 22 rows = 4” in stockinette
- 38-st cable = 7.25” wide
My gauge was larger than the pattern’s so I changed the stitch and row counts.
My measurements shifted after seaming, washing, and drying:
- The cross back width was supposed to be 15.5” but ended up 16.5”
- The length was supposed to be 20.5” (12.5” body + 7.5” armhole + 0.5” shoulder) but ended up 19.5” (12” body + 7” armhole + 0.5” shoulder)
I knit the hoodie 20.5” long instead of 24” long. I knit the body 12.5” long instead of 16” long.
For the rib I used a long tail cast on, started with a WS row, and worked 8 rows of rib instead of 7.
I worked the decreases one stitch in from the edge instead of right on the edge. I used opposite leaning decreases because I like the look (ex: k2tog for left front armhole shaping, ssk for right front armhole shaping).
For the right front I worked C4F instead of C4B for the little cables so the fronts would mirror each other.
I knit the sleeves 17.5” long instead of 18” long.
I used six 1” buttons from Amazon.
