Notes
  • For the extra skinny stripes i added into the sleeves I wanted to make sure that everything was symmetrical. So I chose to make it over 3 of the regular striped sections. So this gave me 36 rows to work with. And I knew I wanted an odd number of skinny stripes (I find odd numbers to be better looking personally). So I went with 5 skinny stripes of purple, and that made 4 skinny stripes of gray. These stripes are 2 rows each, so that is a total of 18 rows. Leaving me 18 rows left, so 9 on top of gray, and 9 on bottom of gray.

cast on 6/3.

I decided to go with the recommended ease. I usually make more fitted sweaters, so this will be a test for me! But I’d really like to have a looser, more casual sweater. I just have to trust in the pattern.

I didn’t have size 2 needles for the ribbing, but I REALLY wanted to cast on, so I used size 1.5 instead. I tried to knit loosely, but I went to my normal tension, pretty quickly. But I think it will be fine - it doesn’t look puckery or anything.

Super addicting pattern.

6/25 - finally onto the sleeves! Hopefully I’ll be able to race through these and maybe finish on time….we’ll see…

7/10 - just have a million ends to weave in!
