Notes

This is such a lovely sweater. The yarn bloomed beautifully making it thicker than a typical fingering weight sweater.

My gauge swatch ran larger than the pattern called for so I went down a needle size. I ended up with 9.5” of positive ease which sounds huge but doesn’t feel like it. It’s just the right amount of ease to make this feel so cozy and unrestrictive. The length is perfect for adding a little color underneath and having it peek out.

I chose to use German Short Rows for working my short rows and had a heck of a time picking up the second set of “wraps”. I had to redo my short rows three times. After watching a video I found on YouTube, I finally had success. It was worth the effort because the wraps are invisible.

I was really nervous about the number sts worked for the neck. It seemed like a lot but turned out perfect. Maybe it’s the sewn tubular bind off that makes it come in nicely.
