Death Race

My friend, since jr high, is having her first baby…a boy. This is for him. My first attempt at intarsia…we’ll see how this goes.

11/28/10 - It’s done! The snap tape is sewn on. It certainly doesn’t look professional but I think it looks nice. I probably won’t be able to get FO pics for a few days. I’ll send it out in the mail then. I’m really excited to see it all finished up.

11/24/10 - Blocking, now. Green snap tape procured from my friend konabuck. Now let’s see if I can attach it.

11/17/10 - Yes! Received the yarn from a fellow Raveler, Malroy, and seamed the sleeves on. Now waiting from some snap tape from a friend!

11/03/10 - Gah! I ran out of yarn. I had to shorten the collar and all I have left is sewing the sleeves on. I did end up doing the contrasting button band in gray. And where can I fund colored snap tape. I’ve been searching high and low. I may have to break down and get the white cotton and dye it.

11/02/10 - I am done knitting the body and sleeves, shoulders have been seamed. I just need to sew on sleeves, knit the button bands and collar…oh…and apply snap tape (yikes!)

The button bands overlap…I’m toying with the idea of doing a contrasting button band for the left/underside.

10/31/10 - Finished the left side and now on to the back.

10/30/10 - These little sizes go fast! I’ve got a little over 4” knitted up so far. I do have separate bobbins for the 2 strips of green but I’m carrying the gray behind the one green strip.
