Test knitting this for fallmasche.
I love this sweater! I hadn’t really worn it for any length of time until the “photo shoot”. It is so comfortable and really does fit well. It stays on the shoulders (even when unbuttoned), doesn’t pull across the button band at the widest parts of my body, and just so versatile! I know this will definitely be my go-to sweater when it cools down.
MODS:
--Forgot to do the first button hole on row 5 so started the first button hole on row 13 and every 12th row after, for a total of 13 button holes.
--Shortened armholes to 17.5cm for the size medium. Separated for sleeves on row 74 on same row as second body increase.
--Started body ribbing at approx 16cm from armhole
--To get my button holes even, I knit ribbing for approx 20cm, working 5 rows after last button hole row.
07/10/11 - Knitting done! Now just need to block and sew on (all 13!!!) buttons. I started the ribbing on the sleeves earlier than I would have liked but didn’t realize it until I was more than halfway done with the ribbing.
07/07/11 - I found some buttons in a little yarn store in Minturn, CO while on vacation. The store only had 12 buttons so I had to get one of the same but in a different color. I figured that would give the sweater more character. So…13 button holes total. I’m on the sleeves now…on the home stretch!
07/04/11 - On the ribbing now. I love how this is knitting up. I can’t wait to finish and see it all done!
06/30/11 - This is going really fast! I love it so far. I did decide to alternate skeins and I’m glad. It’s almost striping the skeins are so different. After the collar, it all looks very intimidating, at first sight, but once I started knitting, it came together quite easily.
06/29/11 - I think I’m gonna have to alternate skeins on this. Hmmm…
