hello! this was a happy knit response to the black sabbath song “sweet leaf” as well as a 2001 quote from my friend, suzanne.

this sweater was knit bottom up.

to achieve the asymmetrical hemline, this was knit flat then joined a few inches up so that the remainder of the body could be knit in the round, up to the true waist line. the front chest and upper back were knit flat then seamed with kitchener stitch at the shoulders.

the sweet leaf stars and i-cord braid neckline were knit separately, then sewn on, along with the beads and beaded, braided back fringe.
