Warp: Superfine Merino 20 epi in 10 dent reed

Upper sample weft is is Findley.
Lower sample weft is Superfine Merino, doubled

Moëller’s project in VÄV calls for 28/2 Merino as warp, finer than I used. For weft the same yarn is used, but doubled.

This is an unusual weave! Only one color at a time is used. There are pronouced gaps between consecutive blocks. A long soak and swish allows the wefts to slide into the spaces between blocks, filling up the empty space. My samples are on the thick side for a scarf, so next time I’ll try the finer wools recommended in the pattern.
