Notes

modifications
the owner of Seven sisters recommended this stay on the shoulders shawlette and recommended I could enlarge it to a full size shawl by using a full skein for the top and the gradient for the cable border.

  1. Skipped the set up rows. Cast on 56 sts. Place markers like this 3-10-5-20-5-10-3.
  2. Stretchy slip stitch border - slip 1st stitch as if to Purl, yarn over knit 2 marker and then on return row drop the yarn over.
  3. transpose the yarn overs from all in 1 row to be done over 2 rows. pattern calls for Yarn over after the first 3 markers and then yarn over before markers 4,5 & 6. My change is to yarn over after the first 3 markers and then knit to end of the row. Then repeat new row with 3 Yarn overs until the red giant skein is finished.
