11 flowers were 1 too many. the upper edge was 39” and with the deeper back it was about 129”. ——-
The final sections and all around border and K2 Tog bindoff uses a lot of Yarn. I recommend saving at minimum 1/3 of your yarn for it.

Inspired to make a cape so It stays on without fussing. I am a 2x woman and since both patterns showed the adult as a slender woman I chose 11 flowers. I want full coverage in the front. I prefer longer depth so plan to not make a deep cowl neckline I have enough fabric to overlap a whole motif !

Mid June -I feared I made it too big so after knitting 2 skeins as written for Grow your Flower garden shawl i bound off the provisional cast on by simply passing one stitch over the next. This results in a tight bind off which I hopewould support the weight of the shawl portion. I thenpicked up stitches to do stockinet instead of the ribbed Home and collar. I did decreases every 4 rows lined up with flower stems #2,3,4,5 ( skip center back 6), 7, 8&9 and used about 40 grams to make the yoke. Loved it but had take a shorter yoke since I needed lots of yarn.

Section 6: I eliminated the extra k1 row p1 row called for if you had lots of leaves because I was worried about having enough yarn.

Even after ripping out all 3 swatches I made with this yarn and most of my yoke I didn’t have enough yarn for the K2tog bindoff. Substituted a suspended bind off for center fronts and flower edge and did a standard castoff at neck edge.
