Notes

I loved the colors of this Emerald blackbird Elowen shawl but its triangle shape never fit me well. It bunched up on my neck, fell off my shoulders and seemed too short for warmth or fashion. I had more multi color Yarn and decided what did I have to lose?
1) cut out center back Yarn. Tried to leave tonal Yarn where it would cover my shoulder tips when wearing the ‘new’ shawl.
2) colorwork uses 2 rows of green/black then 2 row of varigated. Knit additional colorwork repeats as I could with recovered Yarn. I wanted to have enough to have the solid garter section similar to original Elowen pattern but I apparently misplaced a bobbin of Yarn and had to sacrifice this design element.
3) reknit a Center back using a garter tab and then heart shape shawl neckline. Increase at edges every row and at center spine ever other row. Stop when stitch count matches the original shawl top edge.
4) graft new center back to colorwork section.
5) cross my fingers and hope it fits!
