• 14 rows 2x2 rib

• 8 repeats of pattern for leg, ending with k2,p2

• heel flap over 24 sts

• knit for 24 rows (or until 12 sts in each slipped st column)

• heel turn for 48 st count sock round/french heel from this site

• picked up 12+1 stitches along heel flap on each side First round of gusset decreases, ktbl on heel flap stitches

• gusset decreases every other row

• 9 pattern repeats for foot, followed by 2 plain knit rows.
