Starting yarn amounts:

34g parchment by LegacyFiberArtz (white)
10g unknown mini (silver grey)
34g lt grey (leftover from a colorwork cowl, I think?)

Cast on 56 stitches with white and self-patterning yarn, to account for a lighter-weight sock yarn (75/25).

knit 16 rows 1x1 rib (will appear to be 17 rows), begin st st at junction between thin dark green stripe and red.

knit 18 rows st st, ending after a thin red stripe, junction before blue/red pattern segment.

cut white yarn, join lt grey. begin garter stitch heel. Knit for 15 garter ridges on RS. Begin heel shaping, using this site and a stitch count of 56 (round heel aka French heel) as reference. SSK for all decrease and slip slitches with yarn in back.
first row of heel shaping begins with k15, ssk, k1
second row “ slip 1, k5, ssk, etc.

picked up 15 stitches (betweent garter ridges) on either side of heel flap

gusset decreases every other row until back down to 56 stitches total

switch back to lt grey yarn as secondary color.
22 rows lt grey, then after blue stripe, switch to silver grey mini (mid-foot)

total of 40 rows for foot before beginning toe shaping.

decreases every other row until 12 stitches remain on top and bottom needles, then one more round of decreases, then kitchener the toe.

Remaining yarn after second sock finished:

Silver grey: 3g
Lt grey: 10g
White (parchment) : 5g

Self-patterning: 34g, but this doesn’t include waste from where I ran into 3+ knots throughout the skein.. knots are generally annoying, but are especially irritating when color sequencing matters. I’ve used this yarn in different colorways before and never had this issue. But not impressed with this skein.
