Used 217g of lion brand wool ease roving (each skein is 140g), yarn held double. I sized down to a US 10.5 (from recommended US 11), since I am a loose knitter.

My husband wears an EU 44, but per the pattern recommendation, I knit the seventh size (EU 43), and they fit so well.

Knit per pattern, all in one color.

For felting, I used the “Towels” setting on my front loader washing machine (hot water, high spin) with a bath towel added in for extra agitation and I was thrilled with the amount of felting after that 1 hour setting.

I found Ladyduckdragon’s tips extremely helpful as I was knitting these.

My husband’s response when trying them on: “They are perfect.”

Definitely the most ridiculous looking project in process, but a beautiful end result.
