Holding yarn double for a DK weight version.

CO 57 sts (at a DK weight gauge, for a men’s large sock)

8 rounds 2x1 rib per pattern for the shortest leg (version B).
Dec round to get to 56 sts, then 7 more rounds plain st st.

Heel flap over 28 sts, knit until each slipped st column has 14 sts in it. Turn heel per The Crazy Sock Lady’s DK Vanilla Sock pattern, then pick up 15 sts along each side of the heel flap (working texture)

Complete gusset dec, then knit 3 more rounds (without dec) before beginning arch support section.

About 54 rounds for entire foot, but the arch support rows are more condensed.

Knit another 22 rounds for foot in texture + one plain st st round, then begin toe shaping per the Crazy Sock Lady’s DK Vanilla socks pattern (for a 56 stitch sock) except I end with 16 stitches (omit her last written dec), then kitchener.
