Following Jurga’s wonderful example - after a tip from the lovely woman that runs Mezgimo Zona in Vilnius - with one thread of each, but I am using a stronger blue colour in linen.

Went down to 4,5 mm needles to get gauge at 18 st/10 cm.

Only knitted 8-9 cm before I found a knot in the Kauni yarn. There was a real gap in colour, and the direction of the yarn was turned around too. Rewound the whole ball of yarn to sort it out, so hope it will be smooth sailing from here.

After our “National knitting night” on tv I only had a couple of cm left before the bottom edge, but unfortunately ran out of the right colour Kauni so have to wait for more…

29th November: Finally got hold of more Kauni in the right colour, so could proceed.

June-14: Well, it “only” took half a year to get some proper photos done. By now this is a well used top. My daughter loves it, and I love when something I knit becomes a favourite :-)
