Notes

Love love love! My first entry for the Stripey Sock Hoar KAL.

Kelp Beds make me think of sea otters, which makes me think of the Monterray Bay Aquarium, hence the name for these socks.

This yarn is so soft smooshy, it’s so soft on the feet. Only thing is that it’s a tiny bit splitty, so I should have done a gusset heel instead. Oh well.

I used Judy’s magical cast-on for the toe instead of the short row toe since I wanted the stripes to work out correctly on the toe.

I knit this one with greater negative ease, and the fit is really better. And the cuff stays without sliding down and creating baggy ankles.
