7/10/11 - this project has lingered on my WIP pile forever. I decided to pick up this project again since the Women’s Soccer World Cup was on. If I couldn’t manage to finish the socks in time for the Men’s World Cup, then I could at least finish the socks during the Women’s World Cup, so Thorsten could cheer on the German team while wearing the socks. Of course I managed to finish the socks on July 9th, the day the German team lost to Japan. Bad timing. Oh well, the socks are finished, and now he can wear them when it’s not so hot.

What a fun pattern! I now see why Yarnissima’s patterns are so great - great instructions with lots of photographs, size charts, and a construction that’s just fun :)

Still, I need a bit of a sock knitting break, plus I’m longing to work with a different yarn!
