Some of these photos are showing this Musselburgh #4 against my earlier MB #3 to demonstrate how the same mix of yarns can look so different using different knitting techniques. MB #3 has helical knitting neutral-colored fingering and colorful sport weight, on US 3s. One half of MB #4 uses the same yarns simply held together, on US 8s.

(Note that I ripped some of this hat back because I wanted the second half to have more of a stark color change, so some of the knitting shown in that photo isn’t in the FO.)

I also included a photo of the reverse stockingette from the inside of the hat. That section was knit with Malabrigo single-ply worsted alternating helically with the Sun Valley high twist held together with the Ambiente sport weight (colorway 2184 Magic). It create a really cool “wrong side” that I might want to try using in a future project.
