I just used Driftwood as a guide for the shoulder and sleeve cap shaping, and made a couple mods:

• Shoulder section 6 stitches instead of 2 (for less pointy shoulder cap and more arm room)
• No front split, I just joined in the round at the bottom of the neck shaping

Then the body was knit straight down, with about 6% stitches added before the ribbing so it wouldn’t pull in too much, and the sleeves decreased gradually down to 32 stitches at the wrist, which is a close fit but I hate baggy cuffs.

I knit the final row and bind-off for the neck and sleeve ribbings in the red yarn and really like the subtle contrast (plus the orange yarn was a bit scratchy, nice to have a softer one on the edge).

When I was following the pattern I knit the M numbers but my gauge was different so end result is around the S.

I already had 3 of these yarns and bought the Ashford DK to round out the sweater quantity. The striping is random, mostly 2 rows with the occasional 4 row. I don’t have even amounts of the yarns so some colours are used more often!
