Notes

Socks are made for my son in military service. I charted the badge pattern on ankle from the official badge for his branch of service (flying conscript course = Pilot Reserve Officer Course, in Finnish LENTORUK) on Air Force Academy (Finland), in Finnish Ilmasotakoulu). The original badge is on the undermost pic.

The badge is done with intarsia knitting in the round, and at the same time most of the pattern is knitted in colourwork, only the zig-zag aroung the insignia is done with embroidery.

Yarns:
black: Roosa Nauha sock yarn and Novita Viola
blue: Austermann Step
off-white: Drops Fabel yarn and a little bit of Novita 7 veljestä yarn for embroidery
