Knitting this shawl again. Planning to use 9mm needles and do one extra repeat of the trees (4 pines down the spine).
Plan is to use two full bonus bundles of yarn, if my mods cause the shawl to take up both balls I won’t do the fringe.. I’m hoping I’ll have enough left though!
Got through the lace and wasn’t happy with the length. After finishing row 53 (first garter bumps), I knit two more rows plain stockinette and then added this lace pattern for 8 rows.
Then I knit 2 rows (one RS and one WS to make another garter ridge) and then started the chart from row 47 again to the end.

For the garter section, I stopped slipping the spine stitch and knit it as garter to match the rest of the border. I also knit the YOs on either side of the spine stitch through the back loops on the WS to close them.
Only ended up doing 8 rows for the garter border so I had enough for a fringe.

BO with 10mm needles in the standard way.
