Notes

This project has been a long one for me! Finally close to finishing.. done both sleeves and the icord edge, just 4ish more inches to go on the skirt

I’m starting the hem on the skirt finally! I can’t wait to be finished.

I’M FINALLY DONE. now to just sew this hem.. Using the tail? Almost 300 stitches, using single ply merino? How could this go wrong?
If you’re in the same boat, consider using a different fiber in a similar weight to sew up your hem, the wool gets fuzzier every stitch you pull it through and I really can’t see it being very easy to sew up all the skirt stitches using the same tail yarn.
I’m going to use crochet thread. The cotton will slide through no problem and hopefully it is a light enough gauge not to show through on the RS.

It’s done! I have sewn on a button, but I think I made my loop too big. Going to wait for DD to come home and try it on before i soak it

You can totally see where I started different skeins of yarn. I knew that would happen but I decided to risk it rather than alternate every few rows, I don’t think it will be noticeable when the dress is worn.
