5/1/25 - My gauge is a bit bigger than the 15.5 st x 23 rows called for by the pattern. I tried going down a needle size, but that made the gauge too tight. I tried wood needles, with no success. Yarn choice could be the main factor affecting the gauge here. In the end, I decided to just knit my chosen size and, if it ends up a bit bigger that’s okay, because this garment has so much ease anyway, and I like the lacy open look of the fabric.

Finished the first side. Took about 10 hours. I really like working with CotLin - it’s very soft and I think it will drape nicely. Found a stray purl bump on the right side of the stockinette fabric
- it will have to stay. I’ll make this side the back.

Finished the second side and got it on the blocking board. It’s the right width, but longer than planned. I don’t mind. This is such oversized garment, that I think you almost can’t go wrong with the fit. I will need to adjust the arm depth. Fortunately, the pattern gives instructions for how to do this.

Finished seaming and weaving in the ends. Pretty pleased overall with how it turned out. I decided to use one and a half times the sleeve chart for the sleeve length - one didn’t seem like enough and two seemed like too much. I’m glad I have the extra length - about 20-21 inches. Could have gone longer.
