For those keeping score at home, just under two years for one pair of socks.
December 13 2013
- First skein ends at Round 41 of leg of Sock #2
- Begin second skein (121.5g).
- Finished R41 and went on to knit through round 60
- 1x1 ribbing for rounds 51-60.
- Aaaand…Bind-off!
- Ends woven and frayed but not cut. Need a soak and a block first.

- BO in pattern using Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off
- SOCK #1 COMPLETE
- Used 65g of Skein #1 (122g)
- CO SOCK #2
- Repeat Sock #1 procedures over next year or so.

24 stitches per needle, 48 stitches total.
January 9 2013
- Ripped back to 7 gusset increase rows and reknit heel.
- After heel, knit 2 rows stockinette before try-on.
- Fit=Perfect.
- Rnd 3: Top - knit to last two stitches, ssk. Bottom - k2tog, knit to end of round
- Rnd 4: Top - k2tog, knit to end of needle. Bottom - knit to last two stitches, ssk
- Round 5: Knit to last three stitches on first needle, ssk, knit last stitch. Repeat for second needle.
Total: 42 sts, 21 on each needle. Boy has some slender-ass ankles and calves.
January 4 2013
- Finished the heel
- Tried the sock on the fella: Woe! Heel too large!
- Ripped back to top of the gusset (42sts at sole).
- Still need to rip back, probably two increases worth.
- Which is what my calculator told me.
