• Completed final row and halfway through bindoff.
• Using US10 (6.0mm) needle for bindoff.

• Reknit first lace row, changing the k2tog, k2tog in the first and last repeats to k3tog, k3tog to accommodate the 4 extra stitches.
• On track for next purl row and following lace row.

Wednesday January 4, 2012

• Placed lifeline, then completed first lace row.
• Discovered 4 extra stitches at the end.
• Tinked first lace row to identify whether there was a mistake in the lace or just an accounting error.
• The good news? I memorized the repeat sequence.
• Lace repeats all clear, there were just four extra stitches.

• Cast-on with Smaller Yellow Ant and it finally took after a few false starts.

• Settled on a size #8 needle. This is a light sport yarn but pretty dense; it tends to look too tight and pill up on smaller needles. Also, the larger needle allows for better drape. And hopefully I won’t need to add extra rows for size.
