Second draft

Sunday Dec 4, 2011

  • Printed pattern, changed my mind, printed again.
  • Cast on 100 using US9 and German Twisted. Knit 3 rows, switching to #7s.
  • Decide cast-on looks flimsy.
  • Frog.
  • Edit pattern: cast-on changed from 100 to 90.
  • Edit pattern: Removed 4-row repeat
  • Edit pattern: Needle size changed to US 8 (5mm).
  • Cast-on becomes a tubular from JMCO on US 10. Just planned though. Nothing happened yet.

Tuesday December 6, 2011

  • Tubular cast-on using Judy’s Magic Loop on US 10 circular’s with 32” cord.

  • Drop some stitches. Lifted stitches but from wrong side. This can be hidden on inside of the cowl, so I do it.

  • Complete 5 rows of ribbing, not including transition row (from #10 to #8 16” circular).

Wednesday December 7, 2011

  • Had to frog halfway through first knit row (7). Cast on, same.
  • 6 Rows ribbing, Knit Row, Purl Row, first row of cartridge rib completed (10 rows total).

Thursday December 8, 2011
Completed through Round 26:

  • Bottom-edge 1x1 ribbing
  • Cartridge ribbing

Friday December 16, 2011

* Row 5 - slipping purls purlwise wyif,
knitted knits.
* Row 6 - slipped knits purlwise wyib,
purled purls
* Slipped knits purlwise onto one US10
circular.
* Slipped purls purlwise onto another,
parallel US 10 circular on the inside
of the round, alternating between
needles.
