Notes

CO 1|19|46|19|1 (86)

Using Biscuits and Jam’s random stripe generator.

36” bust = 252 sts; 13” arms = 91 sts (2” underarm = 14 sts) = 112|77|112|77

The husband is enamoured of my color selection. He has called it both ‘subtly obnoxious’ and ‘classy neon’. Honestly, I’m loving it too!

Using US1.5 for 2/2 ribbing. I hate 2/2 ribbing but think it will look better for this sweater than 1/1.

Finally starting the sleeves. I keep taking breaks and making smaller projects so this is taking forever.

CO 10 sts (starting from middle of under arm), knit around, CO 9 sts.

Okay, I’ve run into problems. Namely, I’m going to run out of yarn. I have no idea how I keep doing this to myself. I thought I had plenty but NOPE!

So new plan: Get as far as I can on sleeve one with half of my remaining yarn. Work second sleeve to same length. Frog bottom of sweater 3-4’. Use new yarn to finish sleeves. Knit neckband. Use whatever remaining yarn (and new stripe pattern) to get sweater bottom as long as I can. Weave in ends. Block. Wear on a sunny day and blind people.

Oops, forgot about this for a little bit while it was drying in the back room. But I remembered it today and IT IS SO WONDERFUL! I might have gone a little heavy on waist increases but aside from that minor detail, everything is so perfect. Blocking lengthened it just a tad and it’s actually soft enough I don’t have to wear an undershirt and the fit is so amazing! I LOVE IT! Just in time for today’s high of 84ºF! Sigh.
