There are a ton of turkey vultures around here. My first real job was on the 11th floor and they loved to visit the balcony on my boss’ office. For some reason, I find them pretty interesting. Ugly, but interesting. As soon as I got my Amazon order today, I had to cast on for this guy.

It was quick but fun little project. It took me an hour to knit and maybe that long for finishing? (I’m not the world’s best finisher - I tend to have to redo things a lot).

I couldn’t get the beak to look right no matter what I did, so instead I CO 2, knit across, p2tog, cut yarn and pull through remaining loop. I think that did the trick.

Used some embroidery floss doubled for the feet and eyes.

I adore this little guy. I shall name him Victor. Must take pictures of his handsomeness.
