Making this for a friends little girl. I’ve watched the video for this pattern and am going to be making some modifications along the way which should make the whole thing look more like a mermaids tail and reduce the amount of sewing and weaving in there is to be done.

First off I won’t be cutting off each color after each row, as there are three colors you can easily work toward the next color that you need, similar to the Fool’s the Eye tunisian crochet patter.

Secondly I will be doing gradual decreases down the whole thing, not sure on how far apart they will be but will try to come back and make a note.

Thirdly I will be joining it in the round much earlier so there will be little if any seeming.

Gabby’s been using this mermaid blanket for ages now and apparently loves it. Very pleased.
