18sep09 - UGH. So the other night, I was realizing that my sleeve was getting really long, and that I’ve been making the long cable pattern for a WHILE now that I really enjoy, and I realized that I hadn’t started the sleeve cap shaping about 20 rows back that I was supposed to. GRRR….. stupid me knitting along like lallalallaallala. I ripped back about 20 rows, but put it away for a few days because I’m frustrated!

29sep09 - I have to say that I find this project very frustrating. The increases don’t work for the small size sleeve, and so I think i have less sts in the long run at the top of the sleeve. On top of that, I had this project on hold for a couple days because I couldn’t figure out where in the pattern it had instructions on how to knit the front.

7nov09 - I’ve now knit the back, front and 1.5 sleeves. Hope to finish this sweater within a week. HONESTELY if my hubby doesn’t like it because it’s itchy, he better wear it anyway! This has been such a frustrating knit! The whole sweater (except for the sleeves) is really boring to knit and the sleeves are just finicky and frustrating because the increases don’t work for the sizing.

8nov09 - Now finished the second sleeve - both are blocking. I have sewed the front to the back along the sides and will finish this quite soon. THANK GOD!

11nov09 - Finally done. This was a really frustrating knit, I have to say. Much of the chart doesn’t make sense in every size. I had to fudge alot of this project. Also, the neck is really wide! I think I might rip out my bind-off and knit another inch or two ….

27dec09 - I couldn’t stand the fact that my boyfriend wasn’t wearing this sweater, mostly due to the wide neck, so as I was up early this morning for no reason whatsoever, I ripped out the BO edge and added about an inch all around the neck. Pictures soon …
