Sock pattern taken from this youtube video by Happee Knits

Knitting two sock from the toe up, two at a time, on circular needles.

Cast on

  • Cast 8 loops (16 sts) using a Turkish cast-on (working in magic loop).
  • Knit 1 round.

Increasing for the toe

  • Row 1 : k1, m1 (lift the yarn from the previous row and put it on the left needle), knit to last stitch, m1, k1 (do the same on the second needle = 4 increases per round !)
  • Row 2 : knit all sts.
  • Repeat the increases until you have 32 sts on each needle (= 64 sts per sock).

The tube

  • Knit evenly until you reach the right lenght to start the heel.

Increasing for the Fleegle Heel

  • Row 1 : knit the sts of the front needle and increase only on the back needle = k1, m1, knit to last stitch, m1, k1.
  • Row 2 : knit all sts (front and back needles).
  • Repeat row 1 and two until you have the total nmb of sts -2 (for 64 => 62).

Turning the Heel

  • Place a marker in the middle of the back needle sts (middle of the heel). Knit til 2 sts past the marker, ssk (slip, slip, knit these two together), k1.
  • Turn the work. Slip the 1st stitch, purl 2 sts past the marker, purl two togerther, purl 1.
  • Turn the work. Slip 1, knit til the gap created by the first ssk. Do another ssk to close the gap, repeat the whole process to do the diminutions of the heel.
  • Repeat for the second sock.
  • There is still 2 sts on each side of each sock to decrease to go back to 64 (ssk and k2tog).

Leg of the sock

  • Knit evenly til the appropriate length.
  • Add a ribbing part (k2, p2 or k1, p1) on 4 cm.
  • Bind off.
