This cardigan was an experiment inspired by a photo on Pinterest. I thought that it wouldn’t be too difficult to recreate Mira Duma’s cardigan but still decided to use old yarn unraveled from two unfortunate projects that were both top downs seamless and almost never worn. Next time I am definitely going to use better yarn. Still… I like this one and am going to wear it a lot.
I used two old Norah Gaughan’ s patterns plus some colorwork charts also found on Pinterest.

BODY

CO 192 sts with tubular cast on, 20 rows in 1x1 ribbing, increase 2 sts in the last row. 40 cm till the armhole.

SLEEVES

CO 52 sts with tubular cast on. 20 rows of 1x1 ribbing
Increase 2 sts in the last row. Knit straight increasing in every 8th row 10 times =74 sts

YOKE

286 sts

Button bands (2)

14 sts

Gauge:
20sts and 30 rs for ribbing
21sts and 28 rs for st st
21sts and 26 rs for colorwork
Body length - 40 cm
